Greenhill Academy started as a private, Christian founded school in February 1994 with 35 students. There are now over 2500 boys and girls, in nursery, primary and secondary schools. The secondary alone has over 500 students. Greenhill Academy has become a household name in the region with high ethical and professional standards, and an excellent academic record.

The school occupies 7 acres on its original site including the secondary building that is two storied and many primary and nursery buildings. Boarding facilities were opened in 2007 on the adjacent 6 acre site. Students of all nationalities, races, religions and backgrounds are welcome to Greenhill.

At Greenhill academy, we have several clubs. Each club deals in different activities and this is shown as follows;

SCRIPTURE UNION CLUB

Deals in promoting Christianity in Greenhill Academy in all ways possible through organizing of fellowships, giving valuable messages to students and the whole of Greenhill Academy so as to enable them to spiritually grow and through this, morally develop. The patrons of the Scripture union club in Greenhill Academy are Mr.Twesigawe Francis and Ms Ahikiriza Syson.

TRUE LOVE WAITS CLUB

Deals in promoting development of moral behavior in students and they do this through writing of messages on the true love waits board and through advising students on certain issues to do with their social lives and this enables them to work together with scripture union. The patron of True Love Waits Club is Mr.Kamugasha.

SCIENCE CLUB

Deals in carrying out of science experiments by students and mainly studying science and this enables the students to learn a lot about it more than they actually do in class.

SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP CLUB

This club mainly deals in empowering students with entrepreneurial skills and social responsible skills that enable students to gain a lot of knowledge on business and leadership that gives them a chance to live a better life in future through use these skills that they acquire. The patrons of the Social Entrepreneurship Club are Mrs. Ngobye Pamella and Mr. Inhensiko Isaac.

WILDLIFE CLUB

This club deals in mainly study of wildlife, environment and there conservation. Students learn about different kinds of environment and different kinds of wildlife which provides them with knowledge which helps them study even better in class and also enables them to conserve the environment even better.

INTERACT CLUB

This club mainly ensures good relations between Greenhill and other institutions through interacting with interact members of other schools and through organizing activities with other schools that keeps a good relation between Greenhill Academy and other institutions.

RED CROSS CLUB

In this club students learn how to carry out first aid when certain accidents happen in other words , students acquire knowledge on how to administer first treatment to a person who has gotten an accident like drowning.

DEBATE CLUB

This club empowers students with the ability to argue out issues and this is done through organizing debates amongst the students or even between Greenhill academy and other schools. The patron of this club is Mr. Mutakohwa.

INVESTMENT CLUB

In this club students learn how to manage their money/funds through the best way possible which is through investing. This enables students to have a stable life in terms of fund management hence good business management. The patron of the investment club is Mr. Twesigawe Francis.

JUNIOR ACHIEVERS CLUB

In this club, students learn how to start up businesses and how to manage them and this is done through teaching them how to start by selling shares. The patron of Junior Achievers Club is Mrs. Kirembeka.
